A furoshiki is a Japanese wrapping cloth that has been used for centuries to carry and gift everyday objects. No tape, no waste, just a single piece of fabric tied with care.
This pattern is inspired by the Japanese apricot blossom, one of the first flowers to bloom before spring arrives. In Japanese culture it symbolizes purity, patience, and resilience. It is also considered a symbol of happiness and is traditionally used for weddings and family celebrations, making it a fitting choice when you want a gift to carry a little extra meaning.
This one is reversible. Both sides share the same pattern in different colors; two looks in one cloth. Because each piece is handmade by a craftsman, no two are exactly the same.
A note on the fabric
You may notice colored weaving threads on one side of the cloth. This is a natural result of the dyeing process and not a defect.

Why We Offer Free Furoshiki Gift Wrapping
Every gift tells a story. We hope ours tells one of kindness, not only to the person receiving it, but also to the planet we all share.
Too much single-use plastic is used for gift wrapping that lasts only moments before becoming waste. Every year, more of it finds its way into our rivers, lakes, and oceans, where it remains for generations. We believe a beautiful gift shouldn’t leave a lasting mark on nature.
That’s why we offer complimentary furoshiki gift wrapping. When you choose a Japanese furoshiki, we’ll wrap your tea or matcha gift at no extra charge. You’re purchasing a beautiful, reusable wrapping cloth, not a disposable decoration.
Unlike plastic gift wrap, a Japanese furoshiki is made to be used again and again. It can be reused for future gifts, carrying lunch boxes or bottles, organizing everyday essentials, decorating the home, or shopping. It’s a simple choice that helps reduce waste while creating a gift that’s both elegant and meaningful.
Choose a reusable furoshiki and give a gift that keeps giving to your loved one and to our planet.
About Isa Monyo
The patterns in this collection were developed by the Isa Monyo Research Institute, founded by the late Kunio Isa, one of Japan's most influential stencil artists. Since the 1940s, the institute has created over 3,000 unique cut panel patterns made using Kakishibu, a traditional persimmon tannin. Keeping old designs alive, the arrangement mirrors the Kamon, the traditional Japanese family crest, giving it a geometric precision that feels both classic and modern.
