Kagoshima Tea Farm
A New Standard in Japanese Matcha
Kagoshima, located in the southern region of Japan, Kagoshima is emerging as one of the most exciting origins in the world of premium matcha.
Unlike the small, fragmented farms found in more traditional regions, tea cultivation in Kagoshima is defined bylarge, well-managed estates. This allows for a more controlled growing environment and significantly reduces the risk of cross-contamination from neighboring farms. As a result, Kagoshima has become especially recognized for itsadvanced pesticide management and consistent quality standards.
Small Batches. Maximum Freshness.
Freshly Stone-milled in Uji, Japan
We work directly with a historic Uji tea manufactory with over 100 years of expertise, sourcing matcha in small batches and keeping inventory within one to three months. That means what arrives in your cup is always at its freshest — vibrant, alive, and full of flavor.
Uji Craftsmanship
Our matcha is traditionally stone-ground using slow, meticulous methods that preserve its delicate aroma and create a rich, layered flavor. After generations of refinement, tea masters have found that a millstone size of 1 shaku 1 sun (approximately 33.3 cm in diameter) produces the ideal matcha texture. This carefully balanced size has become the modern standard for achieving the best flavor, color, and whisking performance.
What if the stone is too big?
